Thomas Torf, Chief Executive Officer

Thomas has more than 20 years of successful management experience in global sales, professional services, research and development, marketing, and field operations in the high tech industry. He joined Convenos from Covigna, a pioneer in Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) automation, where he served as Vice President, Professional Services & Strategic Development.

Prior to Covigna, Mr. Torf was Vice President of Sales and Professional Services for TAZZ™ Networks, a security policy management company. Just prior to his tenure at TAZZ™ Networks, Mr. Torf was at PlaceWare, a leading Web conferencing and collaboration services company, where he successfully managed the company's worldwide Sales and Services organization. PlaceWare was later acquired by Microsoft®.

Before joining PlaceWare, Mr. Torf was Vice President and General Manager of the Enterprise Business Unit at Borland® Software Corporation, where he successfully built and managed the enterprise division, overseeing major product launches including a J2EE Application Server, a Java Application Management System, and updated releases of the VisiBroker® (CORBA middleware) product family.

During his distinguished career, Mr. Torf has also held numerous management positions at Unisys, Sybase, and Cap Gemini/debis.

Qili Zhang, Vice President of Research & Development

Qili Zhang brings decades of experience in software architecture and engineering to Convenos. Prior to joining Convenos, Zhang founded several high tech companies such as Prisma Software, ezSharing and co-founded Suzsoft, one of the leading software outsourcing firms in China.

In 2006, Qili was selected as one of the top 10 high-tech entrepreneurs of the year in Suzhou, China based on his contributions to the development of China’s software industry.

He was also the chief engineer for Starfish Software and Agile Software where he oversaw development teams and designed products for multiple applications that have continued to be implemented and are sold by a number of industry leaders today.
